Earlier this week BBDO/Proximity Singapore announced Ramakrishnan would be leaving at Christmas.

Eugene Cheong, creative president of Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific, said that Ramakrishnan’s remit is to elevate the standard of Ogilvy’s overall creative output, with a special emphasis on Southeast Asia.

“Superior creative equals new business: Juggi’s successful track record is evidence to this. His arrival signals everything good and great that we are doing at Ogilvy this year and in the years to come.”

A press statement from Ogilvy & Mather said that over the last 12 months Ramakrishnan has played “an instrumental role in winning the SingTel, NETS and Guinness business, as well as boosting the creative standing” of his previous agency.

On his appointment Ramakrishnan said: “I’m excited to join a team of true creative professionals. Ogilvy is the agency that brings 360-degree communications alive. Its deep knowledge, talent and superiority when it comes to integration is rare; there is no other network like Ogilvy.”

Ramakrishnan previously worked with Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore as creative director.
