A spokesman from the club confirmed the news. "The Hong Kong Jockey Club regularly reviews the agency it uses and has recently invited a few agencies to pitch for the Club's overall media planning and placement. We have just engaged OMD for the Club's media planning and placement," he said.

In August, HKJC appointed Tribal DDB to work on a digital branding project and attract new clients in the Hong Kong market for horse racing, sporting and betting entertainment.

HKJC recently appointed Richard Cheung as the new executive director of marketing in August. The organisation is reported to invest heavily into customer focused programmes.

Separately, HKJC is currently also looking for a creative agency to handle its racing marketing business for the 2010/11 season.
