Lau, who is based in Hong Kong, was previously in charge of Asia-Pacific business operations. According to Hoffman, the promotion is in recognition of Lau’s role in managing finance, IT, HR and administrative duties in conjunction with network teams in the US and Europe.

Lou Hoffman, president and chief executive, said Lau’s contributions had “gone beyond the finance function”.

“Her tireless work ethic, belief in the Hoffman Agency culture and exceptional people skills have helped to shape us as a company,” Hoffman said in a statement.

Lau will report directly to Hoffman. She has spent 12 years at the agency and prior to joining was finance manager of Weber Shandwick Hong Kong.
