Hill+Knowlton Strategies today announced its Malaysia office is joining forces with local PR outfit Lumos PR.

The combined agencies will be rebranded Hill+Knowlton Lumos and be led by Justin Then. Then founded Lumos PR, having previously been managing director of H+K Malaysia from 2013 to 2017.

Lumos is a full-service boutique of around 10 staff, handling services from media relations to crisis management and strategic communications.

“I am excited and honoured to re-join the H+K family,” Then said. “The integration with H+K will enable Lumos PR to realise its plan of expanding beyond Malaysia sooner than originally anticipated.”

Lars Erik Grønntun, H+K global president, said the move strengthens the H+K’s presence in Malaysia. “We are confident in Justin Then’s skills and ability to lead Hill+Knowlton Lumos,” he said, adding that both agencies’ Malaysian clients will “benefit from deep local insight and the global reach of the H+K network.”
