Havas takes stake in Acmic to relaunch as Euro RSCG 4D Matrix in India

BANGALORE – Havas has taken a majority stake in search company Acmic Interactive and relaunched the agency as Euro RSCG 4D Matrix.

Euro RSCG 4D Matrix (the renamed Acmic Interactive) focuses on digital services like search engine marketing, SEO, social media marketing, display ads, mobile analytics and web design. It will also offer digital brand management services.

Acmic co-founder Ravi Shankar will lead the new Euro RSCG 4D Matrix as CEO. He will report to Suman Srivastava, CEO of Euro RSCG India.

“Acmic is a company that serves global clients and already we have expansion plans beyond India and the UK, specifically looking to open Matrix operations in the US in the near future,” said Matthew Fanshawe (pictured), managing director of Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific.

Shankar added, "Though the deal has been signed today, we have already started working with Euro RSCG clients in the USA and the UK. We hope to expand our offering to more markets soon."

Acmic employs 60 staff members and recorded a total billings of USD $15 million in 2009.
