According to a release, the ASL uses mobile and web-based labs to help facilitate brainstorming, idea generation and solution development through networked computers in a moderated group setting.

The technology provides simultaneous, anonymous input from up to 24 participants from any location and has been in place in the US for more than a decade.

In October, Robert Salvoni, currently managing director of Europe at research firm Harris Interactive, was handed management for Asia too after the departure of Anthony Venus.

In August, Jamie Lord, former Mindshare Asia-Pacific marketing and business development director, was appointed to the post of regional vice-president as part of the firm's global restructure.
