GroupM promotes Annie Zhu to head up GroupM Nangjing

NANJING - GroupM China has promoted Annie Zhu (pictured), most recently tactical planning director of GroupM Trading in Shanghai, to the newly created GM post of GroupM Nanjing office with immediate effect.

Zhu will be responsible for the Group’s strategic development and business operations in Nanjing, and reports directly to Bessie Lee, CEO of GroupM China in Shanghai.

“GroupM is the only 4A media agency which has established office in Nanjing, Jiangsu, and its neighbouring Zhejiang and Anhui provinces are also prosperous markets in China, the other 4A agencies are still more focus on Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou,” said Zhu “we are focusing on tapping on local Chinese clients which want to get professional values from international media agencies.

Suning Appliance Co and Jiangsu Mobile are among GroupM Nangjin's key local clients.

A seasoned media professional with over 14 years’ experience in media planning and investment, Zhu has worked in various senior media buying and negotiation roles at Mindshare Shanghai and GroupM Trading, Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai.
