Rottapharm Thailand is part of Italian-based multinational pharmaceutical company Rottapharm Madaus, which focuses on the research, innovation, development and global distribution of new, mainly natural-pharmaceutical products and para-pharmaceutical products.

According to Pattaraporn Wongmesak, associate vice-president and country manager, Grey Group Thailand, “Our biggest strengths for this pitch were in our total communications approach and spot-on strategy which resonated well with the Saugella Uomo brand."

Wongmesak added that she is confident that the win will open more doors for Grey Bangkok to work on other pharmaceutical brands under the Rottapharm umbrella as the agency looks forward to develop a solid market positioning in the Thai market.

The agency will be creating a series of print ads for newspapers and magazines, out-of-home advertising, point-of-sale materials, as well as organising in-store activities to introduce and educate local consumers on Saugella Uomo. The first campaign for the brand will launch in the first quarter of 2011.

Rottapharm Thailand joins Grey Group Thailand’s roster of clients which includes Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, Sara Lee, AXA, Bausch & Lomb, Siam Park City and Whizdom Condominium.
