Grey Tokyo will take on work for the Polident and Poligrip brands.

The WPP firm currently works on other GSK brands including Aquafresh, Sensodyne and Breathe Right.

Grey Tokyo’s understanding of consumer communication within the Japanese denture care market was crucial to its appointment, the agency said.

It added that GSK Japan was looking for an agency partner to ensure solid growth for its brands targeting the aging society.

Ayanori Mitsui, Grey Tokyo’s group account director, said: “It is a long standing dream come true for Grey Tokyo and the win is the result of sheer team spirit, leveraging both regional and global expertise within the agency.”

Separately, Colorado, one of Australia’s major specialty retail brands, recently handed Grey Group its advertising account.
