FleishmanHillard promotes Yusuf Hatia to MD for India

Hatia is a founding team member of FleishmanHillard in India. He joined the firm in 2007 as the agency was entering the market with its first office in Mumbai.

“Yusuf has been a cornerstone of FH in India,” said Lynne Anne Davis, FleishmanHillard’s Asia Pacific president. He has been a key factor in tripling the number of offices in India.

After more than five years, Hatia is now responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s India offices in Mumbai, as well as Bangalore and New Delhi.

After his promotion, he will set the strategic direction for the agency while continuing to provide high-level communications counsel to corporations and organisations.

Hatia was previously managing director of client service, and before that, managing director of FH’s Mumbai office.

He also heads the agency’s Majlis offering, a specialty service created to assist corporations looking to build their reputations within the Muslim community.
