Financial Times launches FTChinese.com app for iPad

A new free app brings a broad range of FTChinese.com interactive content including videos, slide shows, BizGym features, news and analysis to the iPad. The app is built on the success of the Financial Times App for the iPad launched in May, which has gained over 250,000 downloads and is well received by advertisers and users alike, says Tracy Zhang, managing director of FTChinese.com.

“The iPad is another exciting platform to provide readers with FTChinese.com’s high quality content. Our objective is to allow users to read the FTChinese.com award-winning content comprehensively on the move as well as enable them to interact further with the website’s dynamic features such as slide shows, videos and interactive quizzes”, said Oliver Zhang, Senior Product Manager, FTChinese.com.

With the new app, users can download articles off FTChinese.com to the iPad for offline reading, and view the sites top video interviews and animated ads. The new application is compatible with both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G iPad models.
