SINGAPORE - Grey Group Singapore has been assigned additional regional creative duties for ESPN Star Sports’ two new offerings ESPN HD and ESPN Player.

ESPN hands additional regional creative accounts to Grey Group in Singapore

The WPP agency currently handles the ESPN, STAR Sports and ESPNEWS brands, accounts which they secured last year.

ESPN HD is Asia's first 24-hour sports channel showcasing sports content and action in a format which enhances viewers' overall experience, while ESPN Player is an online sports television service that allows viewers to watch sports live and on an on-demand basis.

Grey Group was awarded the two additional accounts without a pitch. Through-the-line campaigns developed by the agency are targeted for concurrent launch in July, first rolling out in Singapore followed by other markets in Asia.

On the appointments, Paras Sharma, ESPN Star Sports' senior director of marketing and corporate communications, said: "We are pleased to continue working with the team at Grey Group Singapore who is as passionate and excited as we are about our brands and the bond we share with sports fans."

Subbaraju Alluri, CEO of Grey Group Singapore, added: "Two fantastic channels have given us terrific creative opportunities. I am confident the two campaigns will create a huge buzz in the market place."
