Eddy Fu returns to Taiwan as new CEO of BBDO Taiwan after brief stint with JWT Beijing

TAIPEI - BBDO/Proximity has appointed Eddy Fu as CEO of BBDO Taiwan, following the resignation of Frances Jen.

Fu only joined JWT Beijing as MD last October. He then resigned in early December for personal reaons and decided to return to Taiwan.

Tom Doctoroff, JWT North Asia area director and Greater China CEO, said: " We wish him well. For the time being, we are satisfied with our current management structure in Beijing and the office, since Eddy's departure, continues to enjoy positive business development and creative momentum.

JWT Beijing office will continue to be jointly management by Andy Xu, deputy GM, and Polly Chu, chief creative officer, working together with other members of the management committee including Rich Shiue, ECD, and Dan Ingall, Greater China Nokia DIC. Lo Sheungyan will continue be actively involved in on-going operations.

Jen was with BBDO for three years, during which time she strengthened the talent base notably with the appointment of One Chang as ECD. Chang helped develop multinational clients such as Microsoft, Mercedes and Johnson and Johnson and helped instill an integrated communications approach.

Fu is well known in Taiwan for having overseen successful growth and development at JWT Taiwan, where he was MD for over two years.

He will report to Carol Potter, president and CEO of BBDO/Proximity in Greater China.
