Tse resigned from DraftFCB in March after working for the company for 23 years.

The Hong Kong-listed QJY was founded by renowned author and CEO Dr. Leung Fung Yee. It is the first and only overseas owned cross-media company dedicated to providing content and a wide range of media services to cater to the China market.

"I am very excited by my new appointment, as QJY is the best positioned company to capture a good share of the TV production and cross-media market in China, which stands at US$63 billion a year,” Tse said.

“My role is different from my previous jobs but I am able to fully apply my management experience to run the various operations and help grow them to the next level," he said.

Tse explained that aside from possessing a huge film library, QJY holds long term production contracts with nine major TV stations in Beijing, Shanghai, Fujian, Jiangxu, Guangdong, Hubei, Chongqing, Dalian and Ha'rbin, with its distribution network covering CCTV as well as over 200 provincial and municipal stations.

The company also underwrites advertising for out-of-home media through its strategic partner CBSO Beijing (an outdoor advertising subsidiary of Columbia Broadcasting Service), and is also licensed to underwrite advertising airtime on its current network of 10 TV channels.
