Draftfcb makes regional talent director appointment

Draftfcb has appointed Connie Wong as human resources director for the region, to focus on building standards for people development on both the regional and local levels.

Draftfcb makes regional talent director appointment

Wong (pictured) joins Draftfcb from The Nielsen Company, where she has been director of labour compliance for APAC, Middle East and Africa. She will be based in Hong Kong.

Wong is the first senior appointment for Jonathan Allard, who was recently promoted to Asia-Pacific chief operating officer.

"In assessing candidates for this key position we identified the need for excellent professional HR skills, extensive experience in working across cultures, as well as strong strategic and implementation skills," Allard said. "Connie Wong has been a standout candidate and I am looking forward to her contributions across the network."

Wong will become a senior member of Draftfcb's global HR team led by chief talent officer Cindy Augustine. She will have a dual reporting line to both Augustine and Allard, who was appointed chief operating officer in May after previously working as the regional chief financial officer.

Allard assumed regional duties for Asia-Pacific when former regional president Mark Pacchini retired in February.
