The agency won Sony Ericsson following a competitive review and Draftfcb’s initial task is an integrated creative campaign for the SonyEricsson PSP SmartPhone.

Kangnai, meanwhile, has appointed Draftfcb Beijing to drive sales of its award-winning shoe range after a review of several agencies. Kangnai has won numerous awards for innovative shoe designs and the agency’s appointment will lead to a new branding platform for Kangnai’s range of shoes.

Pully Chau, chairman and CEO of Draftfcb Greater China, noted that Draftfcb Beijing had experienced rapid growth through accelerated revenues from existing and new clients.

“Sony Ericsson and Kangnai are great wins for us as we expand the Beijing office’s involvement in telecommunications and fashion. Our client work has also seen the office make strong developments in skill sets including strategic planning, integrated creativity, digital communications and shopper marketing. These are the areas our clients are most interested in developing,” she added.

Michael Chang, general manager of Draftfcb Beijing, meanwhile said it has been a very fulfilling year for the agency, and that its growth is strong.

“We continue to expand our capabilities. I think the growth will continue because our new business prospects are very good for the remainder of the year and into 2012,” he added.

The agency recently named Dick Chan as executive creative director to further develop integrated creative work for clients, that reaches all relevant consumer touch points. It will continue to hire talent with cross-disciplinary skill sets.
