DDB Philippines appoints Joey Ong as ECD

MANILA – Joey Ong has been named executive creative director at DDB Philippines, effective 25 January. He joins from Bates 141 Manila.

DDB Philippine group president and CEO Gil G. Chua sad he is thrilled to see the agency’s creative line up strengthened with Ong at its helm. “This is another step towards forging DDB’s social creativity brandmark and improving our service to our clients,” he said.

Ong has worked on some of the country’s biggest brands, including Ford, San Miguel Red Horse,  Unilever Close Up, Jollibee, HSBC, Pfizer, Carl’s Jr. and Dell Philippines, among others.

In his seven years of industry experience, he has led creative divisions of J Walter Thompson, TBWA, JimenezBasic Publicis Groupe and Bates141.
