DDB China announces further senior executive changes

HONG KONG - DDB has promoted Milo Chao as co-head of strategic planning for DDB Greater China and DDB Guoan and Andrew Ho as its director of strategic planning for DDB Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Chao (pictured) was formerly head of strategic planning for DDB Hong Kong and Guangzhou, has relocated to its Beijing office. He will be working closely with his counterpart in the Shanghai office, Time Schlick who was appointed earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Ho will be responsible for the overalll leadership of the planning department and the provision of strategic directions for key clients across the two cities.

Ho has over 13 years in marketing communications on both agency and client side across FMCG, fashion, food and beverages, automobile and healthcare.

Before joining DDB Hong Kong, he was regional planning director at Saatchi & Saatchi for Head & Shoulders for two years. Prior to that he was senior strategic planning at McCann Worldgroup Hong Kong for another two years and five months serving a number of MNC client accounts including Nestle, Mastercard and Xbox.

Ho also worked as project director for Added Value for for over five years, as well as being the assistant brand manager for the FMCG giant Procter & Gamble across Greater China, Japan and S.E. Asia.

Dick van Motman said, “We’re very excited about the evolution of our strategic planning department which complements the opportunities and strategic thinking that formed the basis of the creation of DDB Greater China Group. Milo’s proven track record in Hong Kong places him in good stead to build our strategic resources in DDB Guoan and his partnership with Tim will make them a formidable force.”

Reported in March, DDB president and CEO Dick van Motman announced a new management structure for its Greater China's five offices.
