Chunghwa Telecom calls creative review

TAIPEI - One of Taiwan's biggest ad spenders, Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), has called a creative review which promises to be the island's biggest pitch of the year.

Chunghwa Telecom calls creative review
The Government-owned CHT called the review as per customary procurement procedures, which demand a pitch be called every two years.

However, a media review was not included this time and Carat still holds this account.

It is believed that the company has already sent out invitations for the first round qualification review, which will be decided upon soon.

“Many Taipei ad agencies are preparing required vetting material to be submitted to CHT later this week,” said one source. “Those companies which are allowed to pitch, will do so according to Government procurement practices.”

Another source said that the incumbent, Leo Burnett, was rumoured to be “very much among those agencies vying for this assignment. This makes perfect sense”.
