Cheil appoints interactive heads

SEOUL - Cheil Worldwide has appointed Shane Park and Jason Choi as senior director and director of its global interactive department, respectively.

Park has been promoted within Cheil, while Choi will relocate to Seoul from DraftFCB in California. The two will work in tandem, replacing former senior director Tschaik Lee and a junior assistant.

Cheil did not provide details of Park’s former role. According to a statement from the agency, Choi will be responsible for leading Samsung’s interactive development for the domestic and overseas markets.

He will report to global COO and president Bruce Haines and interactive division vice president Gunsoo-Jung.

While at DraftFCB, Choi served as vice-president and group account director in Irvine and San Francisco. He also acted as CRM consultant to both offices. His client portfolio included Hilton, Qualcomm, Electronic Arts, Pacific Gas & Energy and Kaiser Permanente, a California healthcare organisation, among others.

Choi has also been in charge of interactive divisions at Publicis and TBWA/Chiat/Day in the US.

Cheil’s interactive division was established in 2007.
