Cary Huang, MD of MediaCom Shanghai, resigns

SHANGHAI - GroupM China has confirmed that Cary Huang, MD of MediaCom Shanghai, will resign from the agency at the end of this month.

Huang (pictured) has been with MediaCom Shanghai since its formation in 2005.

The company’s spokesperson said that the agency was still working to identify a replacement.

MediaCom Shanghai scooped two major accounts in 2010. Reported last September,  Mediacom won the Swatch Group’s media account from ZenithOptimedia. Last summer, it also won the AB InBev’s China media planning and buying duties. Dominic Ng, previously national managing director at MEC China, was internally transferred within GroupM to become the managing partner of MediaCom China and lead the AB InBev team.
