King will transfer to New York as a managing director in the group's US corporate practice and report to practice chair, Jason Schechter. In her new role, King will head the team focused on counselling both US clients with business communications needs in China, as well as Chinese firms operating within the US market.

“We are committed to sharing knowledge and resources with our global colleagues. This kind of senior-level transfer is perhaps the best way to ensure such sharing has the greatest impact on our firm," said Burson-Marsteller US president and CEO Patrick Ford.

Talent transfers play an important role in the evelopment of Burson-Marsteller's corporate communications in Asia, said Asia-Pacific president and CEO Bob Pickard. "Now, we have an unprecedented capability to help our growing community of Asian multinational clients."

Managing Director of Burson-Marsteller Shanghai Brian Cronkhite has taken on the Acting Market Leader role in that office. Recently Christina Wu was appointed market leader for Guangzhou and Chengdu. Both Cronkhite and Wu report to China CEO Chris Deri.
