Breadtalk appoints Icon

SINGAPORE - BreadTalk Group has appointed Icon International Communications as its PR partner for its portfolio of brands, after a closed-door pitch.

The brief includes communications support for Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung, BreadTalk boutique bakeries, the Food Republic chain of food courts, and café chain Toast Box.

“We picked Icon, as the agency demonstrated an excellent understanding of our business. The account team also displayed great drive and dedication,” said Joyce Koh, senior vice-president, brand development, BreadTalk Group. 

Since opening its Singapore offices in May 2005, Icon has forged relationships with clients including adidas, Boeing, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Hitachi and Siemens. New retainer clients joining the agency in 2009 include Acer, Garuda Indonesia, Kodak, and Overseas Union Enterprise.
