The appointment is project-based and will be lead by Nahri Salim, account director of XPR Group Malaysia, whose prior experience on the BMW Account stems from his previous stint with Text 100 Malaysia, BMW Group's lead PR Agency.

The PR Element is tasked with facilitating the BMW Shorties 2011 campaign via a comprehensive PR programme that includes online and offline communications opportunities.

Announcing the appointment, Sashi Ambi, corporate communications manager of BMW Group Malaysia said that the agency was appointed based on their expertise, insight and passion. "The quality of the account servicing team and the imaginative ideas brought to the table for this project also provides a comprehensive communications approach which is very much needed for its success this year.”

According to Nahri, the winning proposal submitted by the agency identified ways in which the joy of short film could be further communicated to the Malaysian public.

Work on the account started in August and the agency has already started with a series of media and community outreach activities. The event was launched earlier this month and will culminate with the winners' announcement on Dec 1.
