BMW Malaysia hands creative business to Ogilvy

KUALA LUMPUR - BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd has named Ogilvy & Mather Advertising as its retained ATL creative agency, following a four-way pitch last month.

The agency will be responsible for driving BMW's brand image and sales in Malaysia.

Raymond Tan, head of marketing at BMW Group Malaysia, noted that this year would be a crucial year for the brand with several key launches in the pipeline. “In this pitch, we were looking for a committed, enthusiastic and professional creative partner. Ogilvy impressed us with their strategic understanding of our business and their instinctive grasp of our brand values. We look forward to a long and fruitful working relationship.”

Jonathan Aeberhard, managing partner of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, led the pitch. “We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic brand. As we enter the year of the Dragon, we look forward to partnering closely with BMW to drive profitable consumer conversations around their brand across Malaysia.”
