Mobile location data specialist firm Blis has hired Fionn Hyndman to be its new regional managing director for its Asia business. Current Asia MD Richard Andrew will be stepping down in October.

Hyndman most recently was regional commercial director at Amplifi, leading the commercial trading and partnerships business for Dentsu Aegis Network across APAC. Before that he ran the commercial side of the Outbrain business in the region as vice president of Amplify.

Blis CEO Greg Isbister cited Hyndman's knowledge of the market and deep relationships as being a strong compliment for Blis along with his understanding of the data and performance space.

"Blis was one of the first legitimate location data businesses in Asia and are still the most trusted brand I know in the space," Hyndman said in a statement. "There’s an inherent focus placed on transparency and data accuracy and that’s something that I know clients appreciate
most. I'm looking forward to growing the business."

Blis has 33 offices in five continents and has been in Singapore for five years.  Andrew had been leading the Asia business for more than two years after joining as managing director of Hong Kong and Taiwan in 2015.  Prior to that, he was general manager of Amobee.
