Both hires join from Tribal DDB, where Das headed the creative department and Kumar worked as his art partner.

Commenting on the appointments, Raj Kamble, managing partner of BBH India, pointed to the duo's "enthusiasm, energy and knowledge of new media" as key strengths, adding that he expected them to generate "unconventional ideas".

Das said BBH was appealing due to its creative reputation and lure of challenging work. Kumar added that the agency's biggest asset was its willingness to experiment and "explore the unknown".

Das has been in the advertising industry for over 10 years, much of which was spent in digital. At Tribal DDB, he worked on brands like McDonalds, Adidas, Idea Cellular and Star Movies and Star World.

Kumar has been in advertising for over five years and has a BA in Visual Communication from KVB Institute of Technology, Australia and a Diploma in Graphic Design from Cambrian College of Applied Arts, Canada.
