APAC Effie shortlist released

Two rounds of judging result in list of 157 finalists.

APAC Effie shortlist released

The APAC Effie Awards has released a shortlist of 157 entries vying to win at its 2017 awards, which will take place on 28 April.

The finalists represent 15 markets, including newcomers Pakistan and Bangladesh.

McCann Worldgroup leads with 33 finalists spots, followed by Ogilvy & Mather with 28 and BBDO network with 22 finalists.

The shortlist is the result of two rounds of judging headed by the awards chairman, Charles Cadell of McCann World Group and about 200 agency and client leaders from around Asia, working under eight heads of jury:

  • David Porter of Unilever
  • Elaine Chum of Philips
  • Guan Hin Tay of J. Walter Thompson
  • Joanna Flint of Google
  • Rupen Desai of Edelman
  • Ruth Stubbs of iProspect
  • Sameer Desai of Mundipharma
  • Silas Lewis-Meilus of McDonald's
