Leo Burnett creates a dreamy TVC for a new Honda

AUSTRALIA - Time cops and a talking dog feature in a surreal but compelling TVC by Leo Burnett for the launch of Honda's new HR-V model.

Client: Honda

Agency: Leo Burnett Melbourne

Market: Australia

Campaign scope: TVC, cinema, outdoor, direct, online, social and dealer communications.

Press release quote: Stephen Collins, director, Honda Australia: “This is our biggest launch this year. The all-new HR-V represents Honda at its best, and we wanted the campaign to reflect that spirit.”

Jason Williams, Leo Burnett Melbourne ECD: “At the core of the Honda brand is ‘the power of dreams’ and we have brought that to life for the launch of the all-new HR-V.”

Campaign Asia Pacific's comments: We saw where this was going pretty early on, but that didn't stop us from enjoying it. The special effects, the Eurythmics song and of course the talking dog kept us absorbed while we soaked in the glamour shots of the new car. The tagline ties it all together nicely, as a good tagline should.

Previously: The agency brought back the drive-in for the Honda Jazz and stressed the practicality of the CR-V.
