Saatchi & Saatchi's top creative in Beijing joins DDB Guoan

BEIJING - DDB China Group has appointed Ng Tian It as its new chief creative officer for its Beijing office, DDB Guoan.

Asked why he is leaving Saatchi & Saatchi China, where he served as Beijing ECD since September 2012, Ng said it was hard to resist when "three true gentlemen" in the business "came calling": Richard Tan, DDB China president and CEO; Jimmy Lam, CCO; and late DDB founder Bill Bernbach (who obviously came calling in spirit only).

“Being a longtime admirer of the network’s creative nous, I certainly look forward to having the magic dust rubbed off on me and spurred me on to better things,” Ng said.

Having over 16 years of creative experience, Ng is expected to raise the agency's profile in China. “In today's transformation age, when human values are sometimes neglected, I’m proud to support DDB’s core values of creativity and humanity,” he said.

“Tian It has always been one of those creative minds I wanted to recruit," Lam said. "We have been friends for years, so I am glad he finally joins DDB’s team. He is a proven leader with hard-core marketing values."

Ng came to China in 2007 to join Lowe Worldwide Shanghai before becoming the ECD at BBDO's Beijing branch, and later, ECD for Saatchi & Saatchi, also in Beijing.
