ASIA-PACIFIC - Rose Leng, Asia-Pacific head of marketing and planning for HSBC, is leaving the bank after more than eight years for a career change.

APAC marketing and planning head Rose Leng to depart HSBC

Leng told Campaign Asia-Pacific that her departure is by her own choice and that she will be travelling to South America from 26 July throughout August. She said she will be starting a new role in September, but did not reveal what that role is.

Winny So, head of commercial banking marketing, will look after marketing for the commercial banking business in Hong Kong, and Alison Johnson looks after advertising and communications in the regional team, according to Leng.

Leng has been with HSBC since 2005 in a range of positions, including head of marketing in China and in Vietnam.

Prior to joining HSBC, she led marketing for the Asian businesses of several multinational companies, including the television division of Walt Disney International, and MSN.
