MST launches campaign to raise awareness of organ donation in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Society of Transplantation (MST) has launched a new campaign “Live On” to raise the public's awareness and understanding of organ donation as the number of donors is on the fall.

Created by TBWA Kuala Lumpur, the symbolic film 'Live on when you pass on' shows how and when someone has passed on, another life could be enabled to continue.

The film can be watched on the MST website and will run on the outdoor power screens from 24th to 30th August.

Malaysia is listed as among the countries with the lowest number of organ donors in the world with an organ donor rate of only 0.636 per cent per one million people. Currently, there are more than 22,932 patients on dialysis treatment and an additional 12,133 renal, liver, heart and lung failure patients on the waiting list.
