Artists paint murals to make missing persons 'Unmissable'

Grey Group Australia gets street artists to paint the life stories of missing people.

This is some pretty great public-interest work by Grey Group Australia on behalf of the Missing Persons Advocacy Network: A series of artists working with families on storytelling paintings that are every bit as vibrant as the missing people they describe.

It immediately makes one wonder why missing-person images have always been plain headshots, devoid of anything that would make you care about the actual person.

In addition to displaying some of the work in the real world (see images below), the campaign website invites family members and artists to sign up, get matched, and go on to create more 'Unmissable' pieces.

Anthony Moss, ECD of Grey Melbourne:

While usually we want campaign results to feature in the millions, just one new lead that comes as a result of this work will make it all worthwhile.

Ad Nut can't agree more, and hopes this effort gets sustained over the long term.
