SINGAPORE - Online travel agency Zuji has launched a new campaign encouraging Singaporeans to travel beyond the island-nation's shores to other parts of the world.

The campaign is entitled 'Get out of the dot' since Singapore appears as a little red dot on the global map.

The company has launched a 'Get out of the dot' game on its website where travellers can come together to help clear a giant dot by clicking on one of the smaller dots it is comprised of. Each person contributing to help clear the dot wins a premium ranging from a S$20 hotel voucher to a free three-night hotel stay.

“We want all Singaporeans to get involved, and pay it forward in a unified effort. For that to happen, we have created the game to not only bring the Singapore online community together but to enable them to in turn share a good deal," noted Roshan Mendis, president of Zuji.

In addition, the website has offered travel deals as well as a new 'Zuji best price guarantee' that they have secured the best price online when they book a holiday package consisting of a flight and hotel booking.

In the event that a customer finds a lower price for the exact same package elsewhere on another Singapore-based website, they would be entitled to receive a refund for the price difference. The traveller would also receive a S$60 Zuji package voucher for their next package booking.

Print, radio ads and display banners on ad networks will be used to complement and drive traffic to the website. The campaign is also run virally across social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

"One of the greatest things about living in Singapore is the accessibility it provides to dream destinations from the beaches of Bali to the trails of Machu Picchu, and we are in the business of making those dreams real," remarked Mendis.

"Over the next two months, we're going to pull out all the stops to help travellers plan the ideal itinerary for their dot escape. Whether it's a shopping spree, a relaxing getaway or a trek across the highlands, we at Zuji have made sure that there is a holiday for everyone to get out of the dot at significantly reduced prices," he added.
