Nair will report to Arshan Saha, VP of Xaxis Southeast Asia, who had previously led the Malaysia office along with his regional role, and Girish Menon, CEO, GroupM Malaysia. Nair will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the Xaxis business in Malaysia.

Nair has more than 13 years experience in digital marketing and advertising. While at Mediacom she was responsible for the management, leadership and establishment of the agency’s digital offerings.

To support Nair, senior manager of operations Ai Ping Kui has been promoted to director of operations, Xaxis Malaysia. In her newly created post, Kui will oversee the operational aspects of client campaigns and publisher management.

Kui has been with Xaxis Malaysia for the past three years. Prior to joining the WPP arm, she headed operations for Catcha Digital.

"The appointments further strengthen Xaxis Malaysia’s pole position in the programmatic and digital media space," said Saha. "Each of the team members brings a wealth of experience from their previous roles."

It is presently unclear if Xaxis and Mediacom are looking to fill Nair and Kui's vacated roles.
