The appointment will see Tong tasked with driving profitable growth for the VIMN’s business in Malaysia. She will also be responsible for the P&L management of all of Viacom International Media Networks’ businesses in Malaysia, across Viacom’s MTV, Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. brands, while developing a long-term strategic plan in Malaysia.
She will report to Tan Chee Kiat, chief operating officer of Viacom International Media Networks, Asia. VIMN, a division of Viacom, started its Malaysia operations in June 2011 and is represented in the country by Bayu Media.

With more than 18 years of experience in the advertising and media industry, she was most recently the general manager for Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia, and earlier, the group account director.
In her seven-year tenure at Saatchi & Saatchi, she led the team to win Petron, F&N Dairies, Emirates accounts and grew the Procter & Gamble account for Ariel/ Dynamo and Pampers. She was also previously with Bates141, Leo Burnett and JWT, working with clients such as Shell, Caltex, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Nestlé and Unilever.
Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia appointed Adrian Sng as its general manager in August, replacing Tong.
