The company says this is in response to rapidly-increasing demand from advertisers in Ásia, where its client base includes Thai Airways, Chang and Tiger Beer.

These are among the many advertisers tapping into the global appeal of the English Premier League, which is broadcast in 211 territories and delivers an estimated 126 million viewers per week.

Asia accounts for 40 per cent of this global audience, generating huge demand for advertising and sponsorship opportunities from brands based in the region.

The eight-strong Asia office is headed by Stephen Marsh, assisted by Sports Revolution’s head of sports strategy, Kenny Ager, who recently moved from London to join the Bangkok team.

Sports Revolution says a key attraction to brands is the growing profile and expertise in Digital Perimeter Advertising (DPA), a camera-facing medium to target consumers in their domestic and international markets. International clients utilising DPA include BEKO, Stanley Tools and Chang.

As well as pitchside advertising, Sports Revolution also offers in-stadia advertising at 72 league grounds in England and Scotland, including 19 in the Premier League. The company is also expanding its in-stadia communications and broadcast business to Asia, providing total solutions for HD concourse TV and jumbo screens.
