SPE Networks Asia, CBS Studios International ink deal

ASIA-PACIFIC - SPE Networks Asia has sealed a new programming deal with CBS Studios International to bring the latest CBS programmes to viewers in Asia first.

The deal includes the airing of all newly produced scripted drama series, starting with the upcoming fall TV season’s releases, and selected reality series as well as the original version of Hawaii Five-0.

Said Ricky Ow, senior vice-president and general manager at SPE Networks Asia, “CBS has been our valued partner for over a decade now. Their global hits like the CSI franchise and NCIS Los Angeles have been the signature series driving ratings across Asia on our flagship channel, AXN."

He added, "The real winners are our viewers, who can look forward to the latest and most exciting TV programmes."

The programmes include Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods and The Defenders.

Nicole Sinclair, director of sales for Asia-Pacific at CBS Studios International, said, "We're thrilled that SPE Networks has yet again shown their confidence in CBS' quality television programming by licensing our newest series.”

The new programmes are set to premiere across Asia on SPE Networks Asia’s channels from the fourth quarter of 2010.
