The football-themed spot is a local version of last year’s Super Bowl commercial in the US featuring the comedian Betty White.

The message that unites both spots is that a person does not feel his or herself when hungry. The new ad shows a boy playing football who turns into the grouchy Erika-sama (‘madam’) as a due to his hunger. Sawajiri is known for her aloof demeanour on and off-screen.
