SMG wins Disney, Himalaya Healthcare and Tourism NZ in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) is on a winning streak in Indonesia, picking up media business for Walt Disney, Himalaya Healthcare and Tourism New Zealand, cumulatively worth about $20 million.

None of the three businesses had an incumbent agency, a spokesperson for SMG said.

Of the three wins, only Tourism New Zealand held a pitch. The tourism board plans to launch its first campaign in Indonesia in the fourth quarter of 2014. Earlier this year, Tourism New Zealand picked the same agency for its media duties in Singapore. 

Both Disney and Himalaya Healthcare have plans to launch new brands in Indonesia.

“We won the three deals based on strong digital product and our screen-neutral optimizers, which allows us to build media plans across TV, online and video, giving clients strong consumer insights as a human experience company,” said Yasir Riaz, technical advisor for SMG Indonesia.
