Sina Hong Kong and eLadies partner with Pixel Media

HONG KONG - Sina Hong Kong and eLadies.hk, a fashion, lifestyle and beauty portal targeted at women, has appointed Pixel Media as its exclusive online advertising sales network.

Sina Hong Kong is revamping its user interface this year, incorporating direct access from third party sites like Facebook and Gmail. With plans to generate more content and interactive games during the coming FIFA World Cup, Pixel Media is charged with driving sales and market reach.

Separately, the eLadies.hk portal will be a major business development focus for Sina. Kevin Huang, co-founder and CEO of Pixel Media, explains that the company will work with Sina and other marketing clients to provide an "exclusive environment" for brands that are targeting women.

In addition to news content, eLadies also engage its readers through forums, testimonials, blogs and a debate zone called ‘Voice Out’ designed to create a sense of community on the site.

Huang added they are already in talks with luxury brands in Hong Kong for eLadies. “Women in Hong Kong have a lot of spending power and are often the decision makers in the household. The demand for a website with quality content targeted specifically at women out weights the supply at the moment in Hong Kong,” he said.

eLadies are currently offered in the Hong Kong market only. Sina is looking to grow the site into Taiwan in the near future.
