DDB has reinforced its Shanghai team with three new creative appointments, namely Shih-Yen Lee (李实衍) as executive creative director working specifically on the Shanghai Volkswagen business, Jacky Wong (黄恩赐) as creative director for Pernod Ricard China and Nicholas Hong (康保华) as senior creative director for McDonald’s and Shanghai Volkswagen.

All three report directly to Jimmy Lam, newly appointed vice-chairman and chief creative officer of DDB Group North China. "Shih-Yen, Jacky and Nicholas are very talented and will lift our creative product so that we continue to compete on the world stage," said Lam.

Lee, fondly known as ‘Ten Dollars’ (pictured, left), has more than 30 local and international creative awards to his name, including a 2011 Cannes Bronze for the ‘Chopsticks, not tree’ campaign for the China Environmental Protection Foundation.

Wong (middle) previously spent four years in Shanghai at Grey Worldwide and DDB Guoan with alcohol, financial, FMCG, fashion and tourism clients.

Hong (right) also hails from Grey in Hong Kong as former group creative director.
