Red Bull brings Flugtag to Hong Kong in October

The brand, with its famous marketing tagline 'Red Bull gives you wings', dares creative individuals (between 35 and 40 teams) and budding pilots to take off and go wild with their home-made flying machines off a six meter high ramp at the West Kowloon Heliport and into Victoria Harbour.

The marketing event, which aims to further boost the Red Bull brand in Hong Kong, is expected to attract 30,000 people in a day out for families and tourists. The event is supported by the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corp, Hong Kong Aviation Club Foundation and Hong Kong Tourism Board, with the endorsement of the Austrian Trade Commission Hong Kong.

Recruitment started on 1 June 2010 and successful entrants will be notified after 31 July. A full marketing campaign for the event has already been rolled out, including TV, online and print, as well as a dedicated website.

The first prize package includes a pilot license course for the best pilot.

Red Bull Flugtag is the brand's annual global marketing campaign that has been held over 80 times in more than 25 countries over the past 20 years.
