PHD Singapore boosts HP team with new hires

The appointments are hot on the heels of Sony Wong’s appointment as managing director of PHD Singapore to further strengthen the agency’s value proposition in the one-city state.

Both Yang and Shoo report to Aaron Boekestein, regional business director at PHD, and will report to Sony Wong, when he joins in July 2011.

Yang will work closely on the HP Personal Systems Group and HP Corporate Marketing while Shoo will be managing all digital strategy across the region for the Enterprise Business Division of HP.

Yang joins PHD from JWT Bahrain where he headed the Raffles City Bahrain and HSBC Bahrain accounts. Shoo joins from Profero where she was working on digital campaigns, search engine marketing and social media for Disney Motion Pictures, SAXO Capital Markets and UOB.

Torie Henderson, CEO of Omnicom Media Group in Singapore, commented, “In 2011, PHD continues to sustain the formidable growth achieved in 2010. Our ongoing success and new business acquisition depends largely on the people we have on board. Talent is and will be a key priority for us and both Jian and Monica will bring in fresh ideas and take the relationships with our clients to a new level of excellence.”
