PHD appoints Ruth Harris as business director in Singapore

SINGAPORE - PHD has appointed Ruth Harris (pictured), previously global account service lead for Universal McCann's Nestle business in Europe, as business director of its operations in Singapore.

Harris will report to Howard Smith, MD of PHD Singapore. She has previously done stints in Asia and has led multi-national accounts in the Americas and Europe over the last ten years.

She was previously with Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong as part of the regional team working on the IBM account. She then moved to New York to head up the global business.

Subsequently, Harris has led global accounts and worked with clients such as Nestle, MasterCard, Gillette and Lucent Technologies.

On her appointment, Smith said: “We are very pleased to have Ruth on board, her knowledge of Asia is crucial to our product in terms of client business planning, and market opportunity. Ruth has a strong track record and knows the regional media landscape well. Her media acumen will be an asset to our business and that of our customers. Ruth will contribute significantly to steering our customer’s business and PHD Singapore operations to even greater success.”
