Peter Vogel, APAC CEO of GroupM’s MEC, has today been announced as the head of ‘NewCo’ Australia and New Zealand, the as-yet-unnamed entity following MEC and Maxus’ merger, when it launches in January 2018.

Vogel became APAC CEO at MEC in 2015, and was previously ANZ CEO for more than six years. He has been with MEC for 17 years, since the agency acquired Nota Bene, the South African media strategy firm he founded.

Vogel will also lead the NewCo Southeast Asia hub. The ANZ management team will be finalised in the coming weeks.
