OMG Malaysia appoints GM of operations

KUALA LUMPUR - Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Malaysia has promoted Danny Chin (pictured) as its general manager of operations, effective immediately.

OMG Malaysia appoints GM of operations

Previously the director of digital platforms, Chin will develop and oversee specialist business units, such as Fuse, while leading investment and accountability operations for the group in the country.

He will continue to report to Andreas Vogiatzakis, CEO at OMG Malaysia.

Vogiatzakis noted that the agency is moving away from old media currencies and creating growth opportunities for business as the media landscape changes.

“Our success has been based on creating tangible value for our clients,” he added. “With that in mind and with his digital experience, Danny is tasked with strengthening our overall offering and expertise. Knowing his strengths, I am sure he will indeed create another story for our group and our partners.”

Chin joined OMG Malaysia in 2008 and has played an instrumental role in developing and strengthening its digital expertise in the market. Core teams comprising digital experts have been set up under his leadership to deliver online campaigns for clients.

“After the creation, implementation and growth of OMG’s Digital Unit, it is time to put all our knowledge and skills to work and continue building our group further in Malaysia,” Chin commented.

“In a dynamic and ever-changing landscape, ensuring we build business units that bring real value to our clients’ business will be vital to success.”
