The result follows a pitch process handled at the luxury bag and shoe brand's headquarters in Paris.

Research released last month found that Louis Vuitton was leading the way in terms of digital marketing amongst luxury brands, along with Tiffany and Porsche.

The study, by New York University's Stern School of Business, which looked at the digital activity of 109 luxury brands, found that Waldorf Astoria, Trump, Faberge, Graff and Bulova were among the worst-performing luxury brands.

Separately, a European Court of Justice (ECJ) adviser last month rejected Louis Vuitton's claims that Google had infringed upon its copyright by selling ads against its name.
