OgilvyOne restructures regional management

ASIA-PACIFIC - Ogilvy Group has divided the regional management of OgilvyOne in North and Southeast Asia to Chris Reitermann (pictured) and Chris Riley, respectively, following the expansion of regional president of OgilvyOne Kent Wertime's role to include president of Ogilvy & Mather Japan.

OgilvyOne restructures regional management
Wertime, who relocated from Bangkok to Tokyo for the job, officially assumed his new position this month following the promotion of John Goodman as regional president of OgilvyAction.

According to an agency spokeswoman, OgilvyOne’s restructure involves an expanded role for Reitermann, president OgilvyOne China, to include the management of the agency’s business in Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. Riley, managing director of OgilvyOne Singapore, is also tasked with overseeing the direction of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Wertime, meanwhile, will continue to oversee OgilvyOne’s operations in Australia and Japan.

Reitermann, who was also promoted to president of Ogilvy Shanghai Group in December, said both he and Riley were already responsible for driving the wider management of OgilvyOne in North and Southeast Asia but they have stepped up their duties to allow Wertime to better focus on other aspects of Ogilvy.

“Nothing has basically changed,” Reitermann said. “We’re still working closely with Kent. He’s sort of taken on the role of chairman of OgilvyOne. He’s still there and Chris and I work tightly with him as a team.”
