Lio took over RedWorks Macau from Jonathan Parker, who is now the regional vice-president of operations for Asia-Pacific at RedWorks and managing director in Hong Kong.

Lio is charged to maintain the growing momentum of the 40-strong Macau operation, while maintaining her position as key contact point for Sands China Limited, the fourth largest global client for RedWorks.

A seasoned marketing communications executive with extensive experience in design communications, event management and advertising among others, Lio joined RedWorks Macau as GM in 2009. During her tenure, she successfully transferred the in-house graphics department of the Venetian Macau into an agency operation, helping to develop the Macau team.

Prior to joining Ogilvy, she worked at Conde Group in Macau as executive director.

According to Parker, who was one of the first hires to the RedWorks Asia-Pacific management team in 2006, “Over the last few years RedWorks has evolved to become an active participant in the account servicing process."

“Our people, like Catarina, are fully immersed in the client’s programmes as part of the front line team from start to finish, as opposed to the old studio approach of simply taking a brief and delivering the product. This allows us to provide a much greater degree of creative strategy and be an integral part of the campaign process,” he added.
